transmission differences?

Sorry if this has been covered. I am just wondering what differences(if any) there are between r33 rb25 transmission and the r34 neo transmission. Thanks for your time.

R33 = push type clutch setupR34 = pull type clutch setup

So would a neo trans be useable on a r33 motor?

with a pull type clutch (read: change your clutch)

the use of a pull type slave cylinder.

And you're set.

Alright thanks for the info. Hopefully I can find a r33 trans, or I will have to buy a new clutch again lol.

the lower shifter bushing is the small one on the r34 and the r33 is the larger lower bushing, also the r34 shifter has a bend in it as well ,push n pull diff as well

you can convert an r34 trans into a push type. search on here there are a few posts about it. i've done it before along with a few other ppl

So I searched and the best I came up with was someone else in the same situation, but he also had no responses that were useful. Do you think maybe you could shed some light on it since you have done it?

Also isn't pull type clutch more expensive than push type to replace.

can you swap out the shifter arms? where the shifter ball goes. also how do you remove the shifter arm so you can get the rear housing off? i see it has a pin in it but i don't know if i can punch it out the other side. sorry if i tread jacked.
