i have an sr20de silvia Q's engine/trans in a hatch s13 93' 240sx.

i dropped it in without messing with the motor mounts, i left the originals in there as they would not come off the chassy(rusted on). the motor fits on the mounts good, but maybe if i adjust them it will fix my problem?

the problem is i can get the transmission crossmember on but i have to force it:( the holes don't match up perfect. they set back further. i had to force it enough to think the the mount is in too much of a bind. so now i have the crossmember back off the car and Iam thinking about drilling it.....

this is my first swap. is the crossmember supposed to be like that? does the det matchup?? should i drill the holes longer???

i left the original ka mounts in the car in the same position, would this cause problems????

see if you can lossen the engine mounts a bit and it should allow you to shift the engine around enough. To get those bolts loose, go get some PB blaster or Liquid Wrench and spray the crap out of it. It should hopefully dissolve enough of the rust to get them broken

Are you using an AT cross member or an MT cross member?

passanger side mount was ok. since both mounts were impossible to get off i left it. the driverside mount, where the rod broke through was broke, i replaced it. i had no torch so i had to saw the top of the mount off with a sawzaw and take the head off the rivit of with a grinder.:pface

now the crossmember lines up and the engine is in there good:D
