transmission change possible?

ok so i have an NA auto, i wanted to convert it to 5 speed, i got a guy to do it for me, and i was ready to do it but a friend came up to me and sed it cud screw up my motor, is it true? is there anything i need to get to make sure its a smooth conversion?

screw up your motor??? the same motor runs the standard as well as the auto. Don't know where his heads at. As long as you have done your research and have all the correct parts its supposed to be an easy conversion that makes your car a lot more enjoyable.

Pilot bearing, throw out bearing, clutch fork, clutch, tranmission, tranmission crossmmeber, transmission mount, clutch master cylinder, cluch slave cylinder, clutch line, clutch pedal and bracket, shifter assembly, shifter boot and knob. Off the top of my head list should get you started!

pre-op, i knw a guy tht can do a full conversion for 750-800..am i being ripped off?

800 isn't bad but then there are guys that do NA>TT swaps for that. if hes good then 800 is worth the money.
