transmission bouncing around a bit too much...

My transmission will bounce when i slowly tach 1st to about 3500-4000 rpms--its kinda funky--the car doesnt shutter, just the transmission. It makes the damn short shifter bounce so hard that it makes this metal on metal clacking sound and its REALLY annoying. I looked at the transmission mount and its not torn or damaged, but i think it may be tired. I was looking at the transmission mount from nismo, and it seems like a good alternative to buying a oem one. its only 48 bucks from courtesy.

Thing is--i dont even know if thats the problem. Anyone else have the same thing happen to their transmission when driving. It does it at about 8 mph when in 5th---it drives me nutz when im driving to work( i drive 80 EVERYWHERE)

I would ge the motor mounts and transmission mount set--but i hear that the motor mounts will make the car vibrate more---and i dont want that at all. Any ideas what it could be?

8mph in 5th...hmm i think maybe you should look into downshifting...heh

anyways, i dont really know what your problem could be...it actually makes a metal on metal noise? is it like a slap? where does it feel like it's coming from?

lol I think the 8 mph is a typo, but anyway it could very well be your transmission mount.

Welcome to my world. If my shifter bounced around any more, I would enter it into a dance contest.

Be like me, grab a set of Nismo mounts and cram them in there when you find time.
