My problem:

Just to be sure...are bolts #3 the starter bolts? In my research I've seen people say 9+ starter and I've seen people say 11+ starter...so I'm confused.

(The above picture is from p375 of the S14 SR20DET FSM) Assuming it's the same for the S13 I have the lengths I need, and where they go...but what diameter and thread pitch? I've seen people say M10 1.25...but that looks way too fine...I'm thinking a course thread would be more appropriate.

I've seen the specs of the KA bolts, but they're not the same. Do we have any vendors which I'm unaware of that can supply them to me for a fair price? If the price is fair it would save me the trouble of hunting them down.

What's the difference between to engine and to oil pan? Oil pan doesn't come in from the front does it? I doubt it cause I don't see any threads when I zoom in on my pic.

Finally, what is that hole next to bolt #5 in my pic that doesn't line up with anything?

Yes, number 3 bolts are for your starter, you can also see by the pic how it has the shape for it.

As for buying some of the bolts, try here, they usually have good deals on their parts and supplies.http://www.courtesyparts.com/

I believe the Starter bolts are M10 x 1.5 And that would make the bellhousing bolts M12 x 1.5 IIRC.

As for the extra hole, it's nothing to worry about.

All the bolts I'm missing are the same diameter (M10). Lowe's (where I work) had the 30mm so I got that figuring I could throw that in for now and atleast have SOMETHING in the bottom until I get the others. However, I couldn't get the damn bolt in from the rear...I couldn't even get it threaded.

Boo.

Probably going to have to loosen some bolts and jack up the transmission to get the holes perfectly lined up.

The joys of working with aluminum.

Oh and I lied, it looks like the bolt I'm missing at 8:00 o'clock is a bigger diameter. Hmmph.

before I installed my motor/trans I bought a couple metric taps and chased out all those threads. Ive head of some guys going helicol, I thought about it but didnt feel like it at the time, maybe the next time its out

I guess that wont help you now that you've got the motor in, but just be careful when you're bolting it up, you dont want to cross thread one.
