First I have searched and no I'm not new jus haven't been on in awhile and changed s/n

I personally have done a 5sp swap, but my friend attempted to this as well. He ask for my help when he ran into a bump, which now has me scratching my head.

'93 240 5spd. he blew the engine and got a new so that swap was done but now boltin it back to the transmission seems to be a *****. this is where i came in and looked at it to see that it was an auto engine goin into a manual transmission, so i showed him the the pilot bushing he had to swap ( take out old put manual one in) but now when we went to bolt back up the transmission its still a *****...it looks like there is a guide pin on the top side of the engine and it won't line up w/ the bellhousing, its like something is preventing it from the final snap in, I know on a manual there is one on the bottom . the transmission is lined up w/ the splines and in place its jus about an inch out now, i really don't have too much free time to help him out so do i saw that off or is it supposed to be there????

i put my an auto ka onto a manual transmission without having to swap any pilot bushings. you just gotta make sure that you use the alignment tool on it before you tighten the clutch to the flywheel or else things wont line up. mine wouldnt go all the way back on its own .. it stayed about an inch out but as you tighten the bolts it draws itself together. at least mine did. and have no problems.
