I have an automatic transmission and dont really mind it. I like the consistancy. But i want to be able to hammer on it and not worry about it going out in a short time. I have heard I should replace my torque converter and valve body. If anyone knows what to do to make my transmission shift-hard and more durable please help. If anyone has done this I would like to talk. Also i have heard cross drilled and slotted rotors crack is this true?

Rotors do crack ... its just a fact we deal with. Its due to the cross drilling. Anyways... you can install a higher torque converter for harder launches and shifting and the proportioner valve but as for transmission life it is dependent on how hard you dog it and I would expect the new shifts to be harsher on the transmission. For the money perhaps you should look into a 5-speed conversion?
