Well, I would LIKE to get it rebuilt... how much did it cost?capwred wrote:i was having peoblems with mine but i just got it rebiult.you can put a use one all day long.but it might last and it might not.
Yea, thats what I plan on using when I get back to the states. I've just about destroyed my CA transmission on Hockenheimring and Nurburgring.capwred wrote:it cost me 400 bucks.i dont know if it makes a diff but i use a ka transmission with the ca bell.i also got a 24k miles warrenty with it.
I am using a KA transmission as well. $400 isn't bad, but I am sure the cost all depends on what exactly is wrong with it. We'll see what happens. The car is still driveable, but its tough to get it in first.capwred wrote:it cost me 400 bucks.i dont know if it makes a diff but i use a ka transmission with the ca bell.i also got a 24k miles warrenty with it.
Internally they are the same same. Only difference is the KA has a taller 5th gear which is nice to have for highway driving.capowered240 wrote:Which transmission is better to use Ca or Ka with ca bellhousing?
Maybe some Japanese kid decided to put an SR transmission onto the CA bellhousing before you got it.kapower06 wrote:I dissagree with the Ka having a taller 5th gear... I dont care what any website or fourm says... The 5th gear in my CA transmission is noticably longer/taller then the previous KA transmission. I used to be at around 3200 rpm at 65-70 now im at around 2800rpm at the same speed.
Yeah no thanks. I think I am going to just trade Sean my spare KA transmission for his spare CA transmission. Then I will get this broken one rebuilt on the side and swap it in down the road.meatish wrote:Yeah I've got a complete 180sx CA transmission you can have for $400 shipped, let me know if you want it.
