Not sure if anybody installed in Rogue yet but I just received my package today (actually 2 packages). The air tank is 5 gallons and it is so big so I have no idea where to install (thinking of removing the spare tire). Will install it tomorrow and pics coming tomorrow as well. I ordered from http://www.hornblasters.com and the kit is shocker-540-train-horn-kit

Just finished installation. It wasn't that hard but was kinda pain in the neck to find the spot for horns. So installed them under rear bumper then disconnected factory horn ran a wire to solenoid and now I can use steering wheel to turn on the horn as well as alarm. Also when I lock the doors it makes a sound for a sec as well. All I can say I never had a such nice toy before and it is loud. My friend is getting married on july 31 and I'm definitely making a video that day.

Hi Leo, Like you, my main concern was where /if there was enough room in the Rogue to install all the gear. (My wife already squashed the idea of removing the spare tire.) I never even considered space contraints when it came to mounting the horns! While I'm jealous of your 540 Train Horn... I wonder if the Rogue would be better suited for the Shocker Classic 228VX Per the description on the hornblasters website they state:

"Short on space? We have your solution! This horn kit (i.e., Shocker Classic 228VX) features a compact Viair 145 PSI Air Source Kit that takes up just over half a cubic foot of space and our tried and tested Black Finish Four Horn Kit with independently mountable trumpets! The horns can be mounted any-which-way, from inside of bumpers to engine bays, or even both at once; you have the most flexibility of any full size horn kit available. This horn kit is simply the most compact and flexible train horn kit on the market!"

Hmmm.... now that I look at the specs I see the air tank is only 1 inch shorter in length... so no space saving there, although it is 3 inches smaller in diameter. Granted its only has a two gallon tank compared to your five gallon tank (which means the horn blast won't last as long) but the smaller size might help in mounting. Then again... if the compressor is mounted on top of the air tank, as shown in the picture, that might negate any space savings offered by the smaller tank. :gotme

I didn't like that idea either but this is temporarily. I already ordered a new tank that looks like a pancake and that should fit into spare tire perfectly: Image

Once you get it installed, I would love to see more pics of your install.

I'll post a pic but I won't be able to install it 'till next week probably. I started to wire the fog lights today (didn't have much time) and will continue on Thursday. Then going to the big wedding on sat and will not have a time 'till probably next weekend.

Well, if you get a flat tire, you can just honk your horn till someone brings you a spare.

I never cared for the horn on either my Altima or Rogue. I miss the high pitched chirp of eighties Nissan horns. I've been tempted to pull one from an older Nissan just to have it.

The train horn however, is way over the top. Very cool though!

Last year I seen a Youtube video of a guy who put a ferry horn in his Ford Explorer... That was insane.
To bad these horns have to be so big... Actually I'm glad cause man would I get in trouble if I had one of these horns.

I didn't have it for long. One day I almost got a ticket for that but luckily the cop did not know who was really honking so I sold the kit pretty much right away. The guy who bought the kit from me installed it in his '99 eclipse and you should see how much space in the trunk he got rid of because of the 5 gallon air tank. That tank was inconvenient in my car either...I did have to get rid of the spare tire. Anyway...it was a good toy and sometimes I actually miss it a lot :)

Should have made videos scaring people walking in front of you at stop signs.
