All,

I picked up a used trailer and the wiring was shot. I picked up this package

"Optronics Universal Trailer Light Kit"
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/optr ... /6250955-P

My Rogue already has all the wiring and have towed other trailers and all works fine. (my wiring is a Tow Ready 118480 kit which says "Includes converter where needed" in the specs)

So I installed the kit on the trailer and connected it to my Rogue ... nothing. I triple checked all connections, the bulbs, etc. No go.

In the very short instructions, I noticed that "If your towing vehicle has turn signals separate from the stop lights (import/4 wire systems) an electronic turn signal converter will be required" I think this is the case with the Rogue.

Anyone else run into this issue? If so, can you share the part number/how you fixed this please.

Thanks.

you have to check starting from the connection coming out of the rogue. get an LED or some other tester. make sure you have power coming out.
then get a battery and check the trailer wiring. i installed that same kit in a trailer i had and used a normal 4 prong connector.

its probably your ground thats messed up
