Guys,

I bought an 09 Murano and want to add a hitch. I will tow my 2 up snowmobile trailer. Nothing to heavy, but I believe in over designing when it comes to the hitch. Are they all made to bolt on? Are the holes and nuts already welded in the frame? I don't have the vehicle yet so I can't look at it. Is it already wired for lights or do I need a T?

Highly recommend the Draw-Tite hitch ~$140. Will tow 3500lbs. The aftermarket wiring harness for the 09Mo ~$55, can be purchased from the same place (below).

The OEM hitch is nice and robust yet it should be for $600+. Nissan's wiring harness is also an additional $200.

Check out "etrailer".

The hitch goes on in 45 minutes or less - in driveway no jacking... I used a set of ramps to give me a bit more room however. Frame/unibody is already set up for it (threaded/welded in nuts) and the bolts are in-place on one side and also come with the hitch. The above mentioned wiring harness is plug and play with exception to a ground and one power wire - all available after pulling several panels out of the rear interior (cargo/spare tire area etc).

Have fun and congrats on your Mo!
