Well. that 'vert desperately needs wheels and paint. But, it looks like a great platform to work on. It's got the door pillar mod done (or swapped doors). It's got the silvia front end (needs a lip I think.. but no biggie). Is that an R32 skyline front seat??

Looks like a pretty nice 'vert., I only see one issue:Make sure you check out the convertible top.. doesnt look like it lines up straight with the back pass. side 1/4 window. Hopefully all the bows are still straight and solid and there arent any issues there... that would be a real pain to work on.

Overall.. looks like a good one!

Still.. I think your S14 is worth more money like you said. Perhaps you can get him to at least throw in a nice set of wheels to make the deal a little more fair from a value standpoint..

your s14 is looking much better condition than the vert, btw do you have more information(specs) of each car so we could compare the deal

My s14 has 175,xxx miles on body and 100,xxx on motor. Vert is the same with the miles. My s14 is 100% stock. The vert has the silvia front, 5speed swap, and coup doors, and I am gettingthe vert doors with the car and a stock s13 front end. I also have stock 180sx wheels(g20) and both se style wheels from the s13 ready to go on the vert. Both have clean titles. I only have about $1,800(including new tires) in my s14 so I am not loosing any money. And like I said I have always wanted a vert. The primer doest bother me because as soon as I get my income tax back I will be getting a aero front bumper and oem sideskirts, so I would be repainting it anyway. Thanks for the feedback.

Eikon, those look like base S13 seats.

As much as I like verts, I don't think that's a fair trade. Decent stock verts can be had for around 3k, S14s are typically quite a bit more than that.

Yea but I have less than 2k in the s14 and I can get another one for cheap with no motor( I know where about 3 are for less than $800) and I would have to sell my car, look for a vert for sale, and a clean vert sells for 4 to 5 grand where im at( people on the coast think any convertable is worth its wieght in gold). But again thanks for the imput.

Crazy.. it's the opposite around here. The vert is desirable but not overpriced, but S14s are hard to find for cheap.

I noticed this too. Even tho its got a clean title, you should definently ask if car has been "pieced" back together, for some reason or another?

It just looks like a project that was never finished. I'm actually looking for some black base S13 seats (like Kate's) for my car.

sorry about the trade not working out, was gonna and my .02. i guess i will anyway. when going from an s14 to an s13 convertible you will notice a bit more flex and body roll. the car is atleast 300lbs heavier. if youre not gonna drift or track it then i guess its not a big deal. i have a vert and i noticed a difference between my car and my friends s14. for some reason im still gonna try to make mine a drift car.

Well I decided to take out a loan and buy a vert, so I could keep my s14. I will start a new post about it.
