...for a 2005 FX35

We had the Q for four years and wanted something a bit different.

Actually, I kind of miss the Q, but my wife really loves the FX. It is a lot sportier and more like a car, while the Q was more of a truck. This is her DD, so she had more input on it.

Since I have a GMC 4x4, we really didn't need the Q for towing or any kind of off roading. The Q had some other issues (code for catalyst problem and code for o2 sensor) plus, the CD player was broken and the rear axle seal was leaking. Nothing serious, but we just decided to trade it in.

I think the FX is a base model. No navigation, no back up camera and it has 18 inch wheels, not 20s. I sort of wanted navi, but it wasn't a deal breaker and she was really set on the color combo. The stereo rocks pretty good for a stock one. I am waiting for some kind of problem, since it is Bose and I have really bad luck with Bose.

Here are a couple of pics of the new FX:

it may be base but it sure as hell is sexy! i hope you two enjoy it alot. I love the FX's especially their exhaust note! I heard a rumour Infiniti is cancelling the FX is this true?

I love the FX35. They're one of the few cars that I have seen that makes me say, "I'd really like to own one of those."

How's it move?

Thats one of my dreams cars. I went in to the dealer to ask for a trade in value and the a$$ hole told me 3-4 gs for 02 pathfinder with 178km. How much did you get for your Q.

looks good. nothing wrong with the color combo or the 18s. How many colors did hte FX35 come in because everytime I see one, it is either gray, silver, black or that burnt orange color...not too much variety.

As for sound, the PF and Q should sound the same as the FX because they have the same engine (right?). The only difference is the exhaust setup which is probably in the way the muffler is designed.

I had the same problem. I really liked the Q, and it was actually dependable, but there were a lot of small things that needed to be fixed or replaced. It added up to quite a bit.

The dealership doesn't even take that stuff into account. They didn't even check the CD player (broken) and all they did was start it and not drive it to notice the brake rotors are warped.

I like the FX, but it is a different kind of rig. It is definitely more car-like and it moves very well for it's size. It holds the road and has good power. It has worse blind spots and not nearly as much cargo room. I have fit a lot of stuff in the Q before that wouldn't fit in the FX at all.

Very nice. Test drove a new one a few years ago and they really handle well. The cargo space was a little too small though. Have always liked them and the new ones look even better which I didnt think would be possible. Nice purchase.
