I almost picked up the 56 but whoever owned it beforehand didn't take care of it...at all.

Congrats on the new whip! :dblthumb: I took basically the same route; went from a 2006 M45 to a 2012 M56S, with an 8 month interlude in a 2012 Genesis 5.0. What color is it? Hard to tell from the picture. Stillen makes an exhaust system; I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but have heard good things. Any mods planned?

Thanks all!

SmoovC - Storm Front Grey is what they call it. Been looking around for mods...not sure yet. The previous owner tinted many of the chromes pieces on the car to try and blend the color. I have been doing some YouTube searching on the Stillen sound, it's a different drone than my Megan. Verdict still out. My decision to trade it in was fueled by the fact that all 4 cats went out on my M45. The front ones are attached to the manifold pipes and Infiniti wanted $$$ to fix them. Worked with a local muffler shop to basically build an entire "cat-front" ;) system in order to get the check engine light to go off. Priced out 4 news tires, alignment, fluid services, new front shocks and finally decided my 140K miles had run it's course so I traded it in for a fair price (I thought) and found this one.

jhuerto23 - Quite a different car than my M45 in my opinion. I think my M45 looked "more sporty" than the M56S. Still not sure what makes me feel that way. The only thing that possibly makes me think that way is perhaps the skirting. Definitely has more horsepower and "bells & whistles" than the M45. Haven't experimented with the different driving modes or the paddle shifters so I can only tell the sheer manual difference in my foot! I was actually contemplating getting a 2012 Jaguar XF Supercharged. The passenger room in the back of my M is MUCH roomier than the XF and feels slightly more than my M45. I am glad I stayed in the family. I am impressed so far!

Nice upgrade! We decided recently it was time to upgrade our 07 M45... My wife was wanting an SUV (the M was her DD) so we went to look at an FX and we came home with a new FX50S. When it came right down to it, we couldn't part with the M so we brought it back home, too. :)

I haven't had the pleasure of testing driving the new M56 but I have a feeling when I do the M45 get the boot.

Nice upgrade. I've wanted to drive an M56 but worry that I'll trade in the M45 for it and I'm not ready to part ways with the M45 as it's still a blast to drive. maybe in a few years. Any features on the M45 that you're missing in the M56?

Thanks all!

@JHC828 - Nicely done - get a new one AND keep the old one! From an initial glance the FX50S almost looks like a mini QX56 and much cleaner than the JX IMO! My wife has an '06 QX and she loves it but not the gas mileage. She likes to be up high. She doesn't like the styling of the new ones (I DO!) but perhaps the FX could be an option to keep the SUV ride. hmmmm!!

@wizard8873 - I honestly was searching for a newer M45 as a replacement but couldn't find one at the time meeting my specs, basically I wanted the same car but newer. The ones I found either had higher mileage, no technology, wrong leather package...etc. It's still new but one thing I do miss is the extension option for the arm rest. I always telescoped it out and then back in as needed for how I was driving. The M56 does not have that option, or at least I haven't found it :) I still like the overall styling look of my M45 but I am sure with time, that will change!
