The Q was getting older (115k miles) and my wife wanted something new, since it's her daily driver.

Found a 2005 FX35 in a color combo she liked and got it for what I think was a reasonable price. I was trying to find a 2006+ but they were many thousands more and this one only has 44k miles.

It is a base version, with 18s and no navigation. I am not sure what trim/package levels these have, but it has all of the other power options like memory seats, heated front seats and a moonroof. The previous owner did install two TVs in the rear headrests.

It handles extremely well compared to the truck-based QX4 and my wife really likes it. Not that fond of the blind spots, but I am used to using my side mirrors and so is she.

Here are some pics:

Yeah, I am digging the new ride.

I live pretty close to some nice canyons and I pushed it a little bit. It is leaps and bounds ahead of my QX4. My Maxima is faster and handles better, but it has quite a few mods on it.
