antz: Thank you very much; it rips pretty good for how much I got on it, being a new car with 32 miles...
wingFeather: appreciate your input and opinion.
zags: engine vs. engine, the 429hp 5.0 GDI has it hands down over the 4.5L. Acceleration is downright explosive, and with the 8 speed transmission it just seems to pull and pull harder. No “sweet spot” or anywhere you can feel the power band, just power on demand. From the specs I read, it does the same in the quarter mile as a M56.
Feature for feature: very comparable. Excellent iPod interface, HD, XM, nav, AFS, LDWS, heated and cooled driver's; heated on the other 3 positions. Awesome 17 speaker 7.1 surround system that actually has some bass response. Very comparatively equipped. It is much quieter on the road than the M45, which was a common complaint, and always bothered me a bit.
donnib83: My Premium package 2006 M45 had 72,271 on it at time of trade. I got $17,500 for it.
cruzad3r: see above for trade in value. R-spec is a $1500 option that adds 19” wheels, stiffer springs and bigger sway bars. My MSRP is $46,590. Since it is a 2012, and 2013's are hitting the lot, there is huge incentives. With rebates and incentives, I netted down to $36,499 before trade. Combine that with 1.9% Hyundai financing, and you can see the numbers are pretty appealing.
wingFeather: it is badged on the trunk lid, wheels center caps, and steering wheel. I think it will be great fun to dust off pretenders such as yourself, and then let you get a glimpse of the badge on the trunk lid, because that is all you will see. LOL (yes, that comment was meant as humor.. and we all know the best humor is based on truth!)
To all: I absolutely LOVED the M45. The power, the amenities, the looks, the quality and feel of materials and construction. I looked for months for a low mile M45 or a used M56, to no avail. I never thought I would own a Hyundai (as do none of my friends and coworkers!), but the performance for the price and the incentives offered made it a deal that could not be beaten.
