hehe OK, I'll take the

Our good riding season is coming up-fall and winter. During hockey season, eh.

So what are the Habs chances this year?

The team here is a lame duck. I think they're gonzo after this year. They may end up in Hamilton.

I wish they would end up in Hamilton. That is where I live, and it would be awesome for us to have our own hockey team. However, Toronto is completely against us! They know that we would be big competition for them. I hope it happens, but I don't think it will. Plus the Leafs are a) not that great, and b) the tickets cost a fortune to see them.

I'm sure the torque and power of the 1200's is nice, though. Smooth ride, great brakes, adjustable seat and more. The two wheeled roundel boxers are just fab.

Most people don't know they've been making bikes longer than they've been making cars.

Now, back to our scheduled Versa discusssion...
I like styling cues of both. I think the 1150's were a bit awkward looking sometimes. The best improvement is that they chopped off something like 50 lbs or more. 6th gear is an overdrive, and the final drive is lower. If you compare the 1150 and 1200 motors, they are the same in the bottom end and midrange but above 6000RPM, the 1200 keeps pulling fight to redline.

Yes, few know BMW made motorcycle LONG before they even thought about making automobiles. Honda also started out making motorcycles before cars. Yamaha made pianos. I think Suzuki made looms for the textile industry. Kawasaki made ships, trains and heavy construction equipment. Ducati made radio parts before WWII.

The judge just ruled today that both bids are rejected for the Coyotes. That means J Balsillie's 242 mil offer is out the door and the NHL's is not enough because it doesn't satisfy debts owed the current owner Moyes and W Gretzky.

I guess the NHL will offer another bid including additional moneys to satisfy the current owner and the Great One's contract, run the team in 09-10 and sell the team to possibly the Reinsdorf group or another and relocate the team for 10-11.

I say they will relocate because they've been losing money since they moved to Phoenix. And I mean a rink full of money. 100 million or more. Bettman knows the team will continue to flounder here because A) they've been terrible and have only made one playoff appearance and B) they will continue to lose money until they get this team the heck outta Dodge, in this case Phoenix.

I know the Leafs are very protective of their turf up there and would object vehemently to the team moving to Hamilton. Balsillie's got deep pockets but the other NHL owners can't stand him. Bettman can't either. So very doubtful he's going to render another bid let alone be granted a franchise. The NHL rejected him the first time unanimously.

So, where does that leave the Coyotes... Everyone feels this is their last season in the desert because of the aforementioned reasons.

Toronto ownership could relent if the price is right, maybe some territorial relocation money to ease the pain but Hamilton believes a franchise would not affect the Leafs at all because of the rabid hockey fandom up there and that Leafs fans are Leafs fans and there are plenty of people to fill Hamilton's arena (wherever that may be).

Meanwhile, Glendale (the city where the Coyotes play, called a suburb of Phoenix) is doing anything they can to keep them here and stating they still owe $200+ million on Jobing.com arena and that if whatever new buyer tries to take the Coyotes they will need a nice severance (read relocation fee) or fight it out in court (in addition to the current bankruptcy court procedings).

I think think they could end up in Hartford again, perhaps Hamilton, heck maybe even Winnipeg. I know Hamilton wants them BAD. Balsillie is a hero to them because he wants them there. He's got the cash to pay the relocation fees (although Glendale thinks he's coming up short). The NHL SAYS they want to keep them in the valley of the sun but I don't really believe that.

Stay tuned.

I just want the Northstars to be the Northstars again. Minnesota WILD. Sheesh. That's an Arena Football League name.

I enjoy the games but hockey just ain't woking out here. I'd miss it but I'd rather have real hockey fans take this franchise. Aren't enough real fans out here. Yeah, I know winning takes care of that. Well, we ain't winning either.

I was wrong about the losses that Coyotes have incured over the years. I thought it was just over $100 million. It is not. It's $390 million. And that's just the last five years.

"Judge Baum noted in his ruling that the Coyotes have total losses of over $390 million between 2004-08. He wrote that "the Coyotes have not been a particularly successful team on the ice having never won a playoff series since moving to Arizona. More importantly, from a bankruptcy perspective, the Coyotes have lost money every year since moving to Arizona."
