Traded EX35 in on FX 35

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Well, I brought the EX in for service on the window motor. While waiting, my wife found a new 2010 FX 35 (white/wheat) with premium and Nav packages that she liked. We had been looking at other vehicles but hadn't quite found the right one. Drove Enclave, Acadia, Traverse and Lincoln MKT but the FX was just the right size. We liked the EX (white/grey) but there was no room for friends and we needed more space. We also were having some nagging problems with the EX. The FX is more spacious has a few more options (wrap around camera, better nav and heated and cooled seats). I picked up the FX for about $44K where the list was $50K. I like it better but wish it had Michelins rather than Brigestones. So on to the FX forum....Yellowbear

I love everything about the new FX....except for the front end/grill. I would love to trade up to an FX50 for more room/oomph once my EX lease expires in a year & half, but I think I can only live with the FX if they change the front end...

Actually, the front grill is quite nice. It is a smoked chrome twist. My wife loves it. The new Nav system is really great. Bluetooth works really well and the whole dash is really easy to navigate. The great thing is the bird's eye view from all four cameras. I wish I had had that of the EX. So far my mileage on the FX is comparable to that of the EX. The FX has the new 7 speed transmission that is new for 2010 I think. I do miss the EX ride with the Michelins though the FX seems to give a heavier but less forgiving ride with the Bridgestones.Yellowbear

The looks of a FX is what I can't get past.

The 4 Camera's are nice, aren't they ? My Wife can't live without them.

Enjoy your new ride ! Nothing beats the smell of a new Interior.
