Hey guys,
I've never really posted on the Nico Z forums (most of my posts are on the 240sx forums), but Nico is an overall great community so I really value the feedback.
I'm about eight months away from separating from the military and moving back home to finish college in Florida. I have a bone-stock Silverstone '03 350z Touring 6sp with 74K miles and an SR-swapped, Silvia front '91 240sx. "Starting over" in life with two small sport coupes isn't exactly appealing, but I really love both of my cars.
I've come across a pristine '97 BMW M3 Sedan 5sp with 112K miles and I'm seriously considering buying it in lieu of selling the 350z. I owe just $7K on the 350z, and the M3 is selling for $8K.
The 350z has everything I want in a car, but it's small. The M3 is bigger and more comfortable, but I just didn't get the "sports car cockpit" feel sitting in the driver's seat as I do in my 350z, and I would definitely miss the rifle-bolt precision of the Z's shifter and butter-smooth clutch if I were to purchase this car.
I also stand having the headache of owning three cars while trying to sell the 350z in a bombing economy in the dead of winter.
I'd really like to hear other enthusiasts' opinions on this situation. What would you guys do?
