My wife's TL (all bells and whistles with nav) is coming off lease in April. I'm thinking of ditching it and getting an '06 M35x. Thoughts? What is the warranty on these vehicles? What should I be expecting price wise? Any new purchasers out there?

A woman driving a TL might be a bit intimidated by the size of the M35, but I'm sure she'll enjoy it.. An M is a lot more car!

If you are going to be spending any time in the passenger seat, I recommend you get an 07 instead of an 06. The passenger seat in the 06 had minimal adjustments and was uncomfortable to most everyone. In 2007, Infiniti put in a fully adjustable passenger seat...problem fixed.

Doesn't the M35x have a backup camera and/or sensors? Also, what is the warranty on that puppy? 4/50?

I believe the 06 backup camera was tied to the navigation feature. If the car has nav, it has the backup camera.

Some have reported that on the very early M35's, some cars had the backup camera without Nav, however in the later cars, nav was required for the backup camera.

if I recall correctly, the backup camera came with the journey package in 06, but it did not have the 8-way passenger seats. in 07 they changed it so that the journey package includes the 8-way passenger seats, but the backup camera is no longer included (only if you get the NAVI package).

My wife has the 06 TL and I have the 06 M35. They are very different to drive (and in features and comfort). My wife likes to drive the M, but is very intimidated by it. It has way more power and is significantly larger (even if only in perception from behind the wheel). Did I mention she has this thing for hitting poles ... the TL has been to the body shop twice in the last year!?! I'm trying to convert her to another Infiniti ... although I'll probably go look at the new TL or MDX (we just had our first child) when replacing one or both vehicles in the next year or two. Regardless, I suggest she tries to drive it first to get a sense of the size and power before you go off and replace what she already has a is comfortable driving (front wheel drive vs. rear/awd is a big difference too). Oh, and if she drive anything like my wife, make friends with the body shop guy ... mine started giving me 'volume discounts'.
