traction question for ls1

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

I am wanting to do a ls1 swap in my s13 hatch and i`m wondering if i got that done and would i be able to still get a good take off or when and what i need to upgrade to do so. And one more thing, i won`t be leaving it stock for long and will be probably pushing 450-500whp, so ill want to put that into consideration. Thank you for your help

Depends if you want to keep a IRS for handling or just want to go strictly power put down with a solid axle. My Nismo 2way and factory axles held up to 430 whp on drag radials. I dont know how it would have done with slicks but never had any issues.

Q45 vlsd has the bigger axles of a 300zxtt and you just swap the diff cover , get the driver side axle from 300zxtt and the driver side axle from the q45 I can't remember which goes wear at the moment but there is a right up of this on this forum.you also need the hubs from a q45 or 300zxtt cause of the bigger axles.the Q45 diff is a r200 like the 240sx. you will want to either buy the oem rubber washers/ bushings or make your own like I did from some energy suspension onesfor the diff. I heard a guy is putting down 1200 whp with a 2jz in an s13 or s14 withthis setup.

So that is what I threw on my car cause I am installing a built 327 sbc with a turbo, keeping at low boost between 6-8 psifor around 600 flywheel hp.

you might want to consider changing your subframe bushings with nismo or solid aluminum.one nip sells ones that come with rubber washers and an install videothat was actually quite helpful.

good luck hope this is not too late.
