i actually haven't put it in yet, as i'm running 9psi and not maxing out the stock MAFS. i don't look forward to tuning it, but i've read it up, and hopefully i should be able to get it to work properly.Akihisa wrote:Do you have any idle isues with running the q45 MAF. I had one but it barely got any airflow signal under 1200rpm causng the idle to fluctuate about 400 rpm. I had to swith to a 300zx MAF.
the Q45 is supposed to have finer resolution, but the Z32 is easier to tune and can take more HP. i got the Q45 maf out of ignorance actually. it was cheap on ebay and i didn't know at the time it would be hard to tune for.float_6969 wrote:I thought a Z32 MAFS was good to 500hp? Why would you want/need a Q45 MAFS? Not critiquing, just inquiring...
the S-AFC is seeing 92-95% on 9psi, so it's close, but not hitting it. i'm not getting any creep from the WG, but it does seem like i have a boost leak somewhere. i know that the hard line going behind the block to the intake recirculation has a weak vacuum, and when i had the WG teed to that, it wasn't opening. i'm going to replace all my vacuum hoses come spring.r34 gtr wrote:ive got a gt28r at 10-12psi (depending on outside temp) 510cc injectors, intake, exahust, all that jazz. 235/40/17 wrapped in non-dot approved bridgestones. i can spin them into 4th if im really trying. since boost doesnt come until 3600+ its never a problem unless i launch it.
i can also chirp them shifting down to 2nd, and if i shift into 2nd at high revs it just tears them loose. i always match the revs too so its not like im just kicking the clutch out.
finally, how the hell are you not maxing out the stock MAFS with that beast gt2530r? at 10psi on my gt28 i was pegging the hell out of mine. i could hit 100% at 5500 in 3rd.
