I've got a 2006 M35 Sport. I don't understand the traction control. I keep it turned on at all times because let's face it, the car is not good during Indiana winters.

Anyway, I'm wondering what specifically the traction control actually does. I've got a Corvette with traction control, and for the most part, it limits the spinning of the back tires. Not so on the M35. All that seems to happen is a little yellow light glows that says "slip" and my back tires just sit and spin.

Surely, this dummy light isn't supposed to let me know that the tires are "slipping." Anyone else have this same issue?

When that little yellow light is lit, it may sound like your tires might be spinning but they are not.

W/ out the traction control your rear wheel drive car would be fishtailing it around corners if you stepped on it. VDC has come in handy plenty of times.
