I have the Tommy Kaira 6 piston breaks in the front and i am wondering if that is messin with my traction control. i always have to turn the tcs off or else my car will jerk to a stop right before i take off in first. it sounds bad when it happens. i was just wondering if anyone has heard bout this or if anyone knows how to stop it. thanks....

Matt, I looked over the tire sizes you have and it's pretty close in front to rear tire speed differential to the OEM set-up(OEM is .970 and yours is .966). Since your front tires have some treadwear, yours may be a bit closer to .960, possibly lower. Not sure how much wiggle room the factory has built into this, but I would expect at least enough to account for uneven front to rear tire wear. The brakes in that of themselves should not be causing this problem. We can check it out this weekend when you come over...

As far as I know, the front brakes are not affected by the TCS. Those only modulate the rear brakes when it detects a wheel slip, thus alrger front brakes are not messing with it. What you're feeling is "overly agressive" tuning on the 350Z TCS, IMO..it cuts in too quick and too harsh for my liking...it does the job, but feels like someone just yanked the plugs from the motor and yanked the e-brake at the same time :/

Well if all the lights are one..I'd say you have an issue. Unless you turned them on (VDC off, TCS off, etc) intentionally...

did the lights all come ona fter the brake kit was put in? I haven't heard of aftermarket brake kits causing that problem yet...

nah i did not turn them on intentionally. i think it is because of my 19's and different tire size. is everyone a moderator but me or what

I've never heard of propperly sized 19's affecting the VDC or TCS...

esspecially since NISMO has 19" rays wheels out...

-Chettypicall factory settings allow for +- 3% OD difference, IIRC
