My TCS is on permanently. I checked the fuses and theey are all ok. Then I removed the panel on the console that holds the one off switch and found that the connector was not hooked up. Naturally I thought that was the problem. I hooked it up but still it does not work. Next I replaced the on/off switch but still no luck. I have read through the manual quckly and tomorrow I will follow some of the diagnostic checks but I would like to know if there is a common failure that occurs with this system. By the way the ABS works

Thanks for any help

David

I had the same problem, but intermittent, I posted regarding it and was told by our Gurus here that there are two relays underneath the battery tray, replace those for about $25 and you are in business again. If the light is on you do not have TCS anymore, doesn't have anything else to do with ABS or anything else, and remember there are a lot of non TCS cars doing just fine out there. I have not fixed the relays as mine quits for two days and then always comes back, this has happened at least 10 times, happened when it was under warranty, but the dealer could not "duplicate" I forgot about that till just now, what a crock! They had to know where the relays were but probably Infiniti would not pay for it if the lights were not on.

You guys are great, I would never have found it without your input. I took the battery and tray out off and I can now see it. It does not want to come out though as if it is seize. I did notice that after moving the relay around a bit, the TCS light on the dash goes dim when I operate the on off switch. Does this suggest a bad connection somewhere. I have ordered a relay today from NAPA so I will find out tomorrow if this corrects the problem

Solved it, it did turn out to to be the TCS relay under the battery. Everything now works as it should.

Thanks

Guys

If I remmeber there are 2 bolts holding it on to the body of the car... you could probably remove the bolts so you have more room to play around with them.
