Traction Control light and slip light

Traction Control light and slip light
I need new front and rear breaks. When I came to a stop last night, the vdc light and slip light came on and won't turn off. Also, the brake light remains on. Is this all related to the fact that I need new brakes. Or are my issues more severe?

There have been threads on this before. It is definitely because you need new brakes.
