traction control idiot light

i recently bought a 94 Q that has the TCS&slip light illuminated (once in a while when i start the car they'll be off but shortly there after will come on). i replaced the two relays under the battery pan with no change.what next?

Follow the instructions in your FSM to read the failure codes from the TCS computer.......sometimes TCS aux trottle position sensor [aux TPS] or aux throttle position motor or wheel sensors but those would illuminate ABS light.

I just did a post to a follow up in the mechanics forum on this. I have the same problem. I read the section in the FSM on this. Am I right that after turning off the car I have to wait until the problem happens again to read the code?

Yes. If they come on and go off while driving, that seems to me like a bad connection somewhere (relays)

Next time it comes on, leave the car on, and pull the trunk divider. The TCS control unit is right there, just to the left of the gastank, mounted up high... Count the number of blinks and it will tell you what the trouble code is....

thanks for the info - i would have just looked it up but dont have a manual for the car yet. i did what you said and got a code thirteen-that doesnt sound good now does it!
