anybody know of any tracks in CT or its bordering states that allow you to drive your car without some special license (IE. SCCA). I know limerock sometimes holds drift events on the auto cross track but they usually hold that in the fall season.

Im about to start putting things into my car, but would really like to drive it in a track while its stock for a before and after comparisson.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

there really hasnt been any support for local events that i know off but on another forum that im part of allnissans.com , sentra, 200sx and 240sx owners do trips to toronto and montreal, to race there cars on the fourmula 1 tracks. It doesnt costs that much (last time i think it was $200), but prices change depending on how many ppl sign up, more ppl less money, and u get to do a s h i t load of laps and depending on how ur car is and what parts of the course are open to drivers with regular licenses u can acctually top out your car and see what its like. I'd recomend keeping your eye on that forum cause they also do track weekends in PA, but toronto and montreal are much better and its only an 8hr ride, well worth it.

You might look at HPDE (high perf driving education). No special requirements for you or the car, 2 days of track time for a couple hundred bucks.

I do 4-5 events per year with the Audi Club...in a stock Nissan. They don't require Audi's. In your area, they do events at Limr Rock, the Glen, Mont Tremblanc, Summit Point, VIR, New hampshire. I'm takling a few months off for personal reasons, but I'll be back doing them this fall.

I belong to the Potomac Chapter. Nice thing is once you become a member, you can do schools at any track with any chapter. they also do joint events with other clubs like BMW, Porsche, mercedes, even the VW R32 club.

I'm probably doing Summit and VIR this fall.
