My time is in my sig. That was with subs, amp, and big freakin' toolbox in the trunk. My mods are also listed and my car is a 5spd. Oil had just been changed, air filter cleaned, but did not touch plugs or timing. Throttle body could probably use a good cleaning too.

Don't take this the wrong way, but your time is kind of slow. I would think you could pull down at least a 16.5. What was your trap speed? When was your last tune up?

That .621 is your reaction time, not your trap speed. Your trap speed would be in MPH, and I'm guessing it was around 81-82mph? How did you launch? What were the weather conditions at the time? Yes, I think you could get a 16.5 with the car in proper tune and good driving. What kind of cat back?

Hmmm, well, with an intake and exhaust you should be 16.5 no prob. You said your launch was "pretty good", does that mean little wheelspin? I've found the 240 launches best with a little wheelspin, but not too much. Did you powerbrake the car? Post up your 60ft time.

If it were me, I would go back through the car and re-check everything. Plugs, wires, timing, air filter, fuel filter, etc. If all of those items are good, then I would also do a compression test. How many miles are on your car? It's my opinion that your car should be quicker than that. If you have a compression leakdown, then that would explain your power loss.

Also, check your throttle cable. If there is a lot of play in it, then you may not be going to WOT (wide open throttle). If you are not running at WOT, then your times will be considerably slower as well, so ensure that your car is opening up all the way.

Do you still have your cat? If the cat is obstructed your cat back exhaust won't help. Have you run leaded race gas through it?

Ben got a best of 16.6 in his much heavier S14 automatic with just an injen cold air intake so yeah an 16.5 is what you should be shooting for........

Hey Repo have you marked your calender yet for the next BG meet. I believe we have a race due that weekend to see who has the better coupe and we already know who has the better looking one

Ok, but that doesn't answer my other questions. I need to know those things to help you figure out why you're not running at least a 16.5. For example:

Excessive wheelspin=bad launch, slow ET, lower trap speed.

Compression leakdown=power loss

Plugged cat=more power loss, renders cat-back exhaust useless

Retarded timing=power loss

Plug gap too wide=power loss

Old plug wires=too much resistance, power loss

Not going to WOT=not running the car to it's full potential

Previously ran race gas=leaded fuel will plug the cat and foul oxygen sensors=power loss, efficiency loss

Do you see where I'm going with this? It's all in how the car is tuned and how it is driven. To help you, we need more information. Your transmission could be slipping as well. Have you checked that?

If you run w/o an intake, you have basically zero intake restriction, meaning that you should be even quicker, theoretically. Given that you had zero intake restriction, it leads me to think there is something else wrong. Mods are great, but if the car is not in a good state of tune, ie you have compression issues, mods are pointless and you need to address the other problems first.

Ah, drinking in Kentucky. I will certainly be in trouble! Where are we staying? I vote for renting out the Motel 6.

I see there was no argument about my car...

how do you take off w/ your auto? sometimes brake stands will help, and starting off in 2 or maybe even 1, will definately help. My friend has an auto 240 and brake stand seems to help him.

Cool. I've got it marked on my calendar. You may be racing Sygerwulf in my car though if he decides to buy it! I'll be there in a sh.itbox if I have to, but it'll still be fun.

I meant starting w/ the transmission in 1 until you hit about 20mph, then switching it up to 2 until you reach about 40mph then switching it into normal drive.
