I actually did this run on march 24th and never posted the results. It was hotter than hell in GA when I did them. I think ambient was 90+ that day.

16 psi and a mediocre (to say the best) tune that we did on the street the night before. Slippy mc clutch was also the case, so no hard launches. Tires were also an issue.

60' 2.450330 6.2971/8 9.417MPH 81.291000 11.9721/4 14.157MPH 101.3

Nothing too exciting here, Just thought I would post it up for people who are searching.

I am still working on the tune and its already 10x better then it was in GA.

Yeah I had a freind "tune" it for me. Haha what a joke.

Powerband was all screwed up as was the timing curve. I actually started over completely from base maps it was so wacked out.

Thank god datalogit made that easy.

Evan

I am not sure if it was the bad tune, or my clutch which was having major issues. Probabally both. XTD ftl LOL.

yeah, you should be in the 12's running that boost. What gas, and timing are you running? You tuning with wideband?

the first time I ever went on the track (ever) on completely stock SR - s13 with mismatched tires(used) ran a 14.4 @ 96 and I bogged.

Defentantly gotta check your setup and/or your driving skills. Get a man's clutch and a tune, and lets hear some good news!

tune? what would he be tuning? a stock motor rb25, with stock turbo has no better tune than the stock ECU. Its good enough to run low 12's granted a good driver is at hand with some DR's.

well, as far as what ever he touched after going 16psi, (in his original post) him and his buddy did the night before. But very true, stock injectors, stock turbo, stay with factory tune. Unless you have other goodies we do not know about.

16psi is just silly, blowing nothing but hot air after 11 psi. It simply doesn't flow on the stock turbo.

Whoops sorry I guess I don't have anything listed in my sig.

Pump gasEbay FMIC with 2.25" plumbingBlow through maf (z32)T3/T04E 60 trim .63ar stage 3 wheels (garrett turbo)550cc top feeds3" exhaust including downpipePower FC with datalogit/wideband

Stock tune was very inadequate because of the blow through maf. I was constantly running rich. I still am a little on the fat side, but I loaned my datalogit to a freind so its gonna stay that way for a bit.

Anyway, I am sure I will have some good news for you guys at some point. I put a 9lbs flywheel and act sprung 6 puck in this thing two months ago.

I need to get back on the rollers but I am running low on cash right now (just moved).

Ill be sure to keep everyone updated.

Also, I have very VERY little track time under me, so I know thats a big issue too!

Hmmm I should say it was a crappy tune, with that set-up some good tires and shifts should get you to 11's from what I know... or think.

I've been told many a time that 1 tenth off of your 60' time equals 2 tenths off of your et.

Say you got a decent launch on street tires, like down to a 2.0, thats a 13.3. Launching alone, regardless of the ****ty tune and bad everything, should get you a decent time.

Good luck next time!

WOW! On saturday i ran at the track for the first time ever and because I had stock tires (toyo's) couldn't get traction and my reaction time was so bad I ran a 14.8 @ 100mph at 16psi, but the only good thing was that the integras and scion i raced against had a head start and every time i smashed right passed them hahaha!!! You will do better next time don't worry!~~Rach20

Maybe with a crappy intercooler yeah, but the rb25 turbo should be able to hanlde 17psi...but of course ceramic turbos will blow with too much boost as we all know!~~Rach20

Over 14 psi of boost on stock turbo your on borrowed time. The rumor they were talking about was the ceramic impleller going poof.

My reaction time is freaking terrible LOL.
