what is your experience? as,I am trying purchase another damn clutch!I am planning on putting more boost (25psi) and the clutch I have now -a 6 puck XTD 500hp racing clutch from ebay and it drives fine daily, but if I dump on it hard ,(launch to 2nd ,switching gears ,at track) It sucked asss. It holds fine if in 3rd or 4th on highway 35mph+ it does fine and does not slip. first time to take to track tonite (18psi) and it slipped bad even at 10 si like it was just revving in neautral! let off some it would catch some , I ran a whopping 17 sec.!! this pissed me of so bad, on roll races 30mph+ 2nd -4th races it pulls like a monster hardly any little slippage.I could not believe it..i t drove fine home from track and I made 6-7 19psi road pulls not one slip! I want to pullout this POS ! Ive had it 1 year daily driving 5000 miles and track time sucked!

any ways enough bitching ,` I just want to know your experiences on a good strong clutch for ka , no slip, and somewhat streetable. I do not want to ever experience my should be 450+hp 240 that is very strong be humilated again !

Is act setup good? spec?

Well, me i have roughly ~300 whp at 15 psi with an ACT STREET clutch and NO slippage whatsoever..!!! And to top it off:

Also i have a J30 LSD with axle's and 285x40x17's which u would think would make that clutch SLIP from that rear load...

Get the RPS MAX Pressure plate and Horsepowerfreaks sprung 6 puck.

You can call them up and order the RPS PP only.

and here is there custome sprung 6 puck. rebuilds are only $100 http://www.horsepowerfreaks.co...240SX

You could hold over 800hp with this combo. and I bet it drives nice.

Yeah I also reccomend the RPS 6 puck with the heavy duty pressure plate. Thats what I'm using (20 psi, 430rwhp), and I havnt had it slip yet.

Perhaps the problem is not with the clutch.

The flywheel might need resurfacing.

Maybe the clutch is misaligned.

you want good honest oppinion from someone who has the expierence with a product....go with the clutchmasters stage 5 clutch....4 puck...unsprung disk...ceramic pads....holes 550 ft. lbs of torque...not hp but torque!....its SUPER streetable...yeah its a lil grabby out of first gear...gotta slip the clutch to 2k rpms so it doesnt shake the car....BUT...that son of a ***** has never let me down....you will like it and be quite impressed on how streetable it is....after 500 or 600 miles you may notice some chatter on occasion but dude its not any problem at all....try it...you will like it....here is the link i bought mine from...took 2 weeks to get it but its worth it....paid 290 shipped to my door

I have 95 240sx,5000 miles on it 13 months on new motor, daily grind to work, gym, everywhere, all built motor all from KA24de.com jimwolf ecu 72lb injectors, big Kahuna T4, oncenter.58 a/r, - TO4 .70a/r , revhard manifold, tial wastegate , intercooler, afc2, lm1 wideband, . 13 psi daily , 19-21psi every now and then. I also have 93 240sx with Sr20det ,modded up a little .It has a ACT set up and it has no issues.I think the krappy XTD stage 5- 6 puck clutch in ka , but it holds most of the time on street daily . It seems like it only slips between shifts ,like 2nd to 3rd . it only does everyonce in while. I have driven for daily on streets and it did not bother me. At track it was horrible!!!Can you give me some links to these good clutches for ka? i am ready to buy so I can swap , or I will just buy the ACT like in my SR. I just thought there might be even better so i do not have to change again.

puck clutches arent as streetable as full disk clutches. Id suggest going with a spec clutch b/c they make one thatll hold 380lbs torque and still feels stock.

my 4 puck upsprung CM stage 5 is very streetable, you have to comprimise somewhat with stock drivibility when going into the 400+rwhp/torque

i know ur probably fairly knowledgeable but did u break in the clutch properly? with that kind of power, i dont think any clutch not broken in properly will call it quits on ya. I have also heard good things abou the rps clutches........i personally run ACT and i havent had any issues......

if you are running stock flywheel or planning on upgrading flywheel enjuku racing sells a flywheel clutch combo that uses the SR 240mm clutch on the 225mm ka (for that little extra grab.) or drill out the stock ka flywhell and pin it to use a sr clutch-Dave

i didnt know they sold that for the ka, used to be called the "white bunny special"

with the larger diameter it allows you to use SR street clutches that can hold 500rwhp rather than an unsprung pucked clutch like the ka.

although it has been proven that the clutchmasters stage 5 can hold well over 500rwhp/tq (duy)
