I just finished cutting my track day video. Nothing special, just thought I'd share it with you guys.

This has been my 3rd full track day. I was on the track the full day this time, for the whole of 7 25 minute segments. I am not a pro, and don't claim to be. But, I had a great time. The car ran great, no problems whatsoever.

The track is the Hungaroring Formula 1 Circuit. It is a fixture in the annual F1 calendar. It's in Europe, if you're geographically obtuse. You can find more about it using the Google wonder.

The video is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjSHEbFYSao

I just posted it, it takes a while until YouTube processes the High Definition part. But do click on that when it's available. It's worth the extra bandwidth.

This concludes the track days for this year. It's getting colder and all the tracks are closing. Hopefully by next year I will finish putting some new things on the Z to improve my track days. Also, a driving course in a BMW M3 is scheduled for April. The Z is fantastic and I don't want ME letting IT down in the driving department.

Enjoy the video.

EDIT: spelling.

Pretty cool video, looks like fun! The exhaust sounds really good

The video is put together real well too. Are you a photographer or work with cameras? You seem really good at those things and have really neat pics of your car.

just curious

I do like to dabble in photography and video, but as a hobby. In no way am I getting paid for stuff like this. But I have developed some skills throughout the years...

From special effects to editing and sound design right down to manipulating images in Photoshop. Self taught, so I can't say I'm a pro or anything close. Having proper training is way different, but I can hold my own.

The track day was a lot of fun. I have plenty of mods saved up, and will be putting them all on the car this winter. In April I plan to do another track day (when the track opens).

I have always thought that stuff was really interesting. My mom is a photographer so I guess I've always been exposed to that kind of stuff. Too bad you live in England. Me and my buddies come up with movie ideas all the time but are missing talent/special effects (ha).

Buddy of mine has tracked his 240 and it seems like it'd be a ton of fun. And I really like the way your car sounds if that was yours you could hear in the video.

I consider you lucky. I can't wait til the day I can say I have mods saved up. Right now its finish college then spend all my earnings

Hi. Sorry to disappoint. I don't live in England. I live in Romania, which is still Europe, and still part of the European Union... but it's not England.

Tracking your car is a lot of fun, but also pretty dangerous, for you and your car. There's a lot of wear and tear on the car, and if you do it too much, or "overdrive" the car thinking you're a good driver on a track, you will end up damaging a lot of components from brakes to clutch to suspension and finally the engine.

Although Nissan buit the 350Z to be tough, constant pushing on a track is not in ANY car's best interest.

The dangerous part is collisions or bad driving... Which I've seen a good deal of, even in Europe. Tons of STIs and Evos get done for by drivers who think they can "do it all" better than the pros.

In any case, it IS worth doing, in moderation, to test your car's limits and improve your driving abilities.

Regarding the video, I have to disappoint you (again). Most of the sounds are not from my car, or the Ferrari that you can see in front of me or any of the other cars. My camera was OUTSIDE the car 99% of the time, and since I don't have a WIND-protected microphone, all you could hear was WIND NOISE on the actual video soundtrack. So I finally had to edit all of the audio OUT and re-do it all... it's a bit "fake" but better than having no sound at all. Sorry if you're disappointed. If it makes you feel better, those are Ferrari sounds, with stock exhausts.

Goodluck with college. You'll have plenty of time (and money) for upgrades soon enough. Work for it and you'll never look back.

Sorry I meant to put Europe instead of England. And I can't wait to get out of school and have much more time to work on my car. As of now I'm doing a bunch of small things I find interesting, such as change out the LED's in the car or put an LED in the door handle (like the BMW's), audio setup, easy things that improve the inside right and add my own "flavor" to the car.

I'm still impressed with the video, you did a great job and the exhaust sounds work great, even if they are fake. Definitely not disappointed! Ha it was like watching a Grand Turismo or Forza trailer
