Track Day (East Coast - NY,PA,NJ,CT,RI+more) INTEREST POLL

Ok this is a shot in the dark, i just got the idea from one of the mods.

I know everyone loves there cars and some love to race. Why don't we try to make a true track day possible (ie not drag, a real track with twisties). I'm still new to this so i would need help planning it, but i'm willing to do this.

I live in New York, long island, I am also in PA at school. So i was wondering if we could get enough people together we could make a meet/race day at one of the tracks in the surrounding areas. I know i would have no problem driving 3 hours to do this, but if we do this we need alot of people so its not to expensive.

I've heard of Englishtown in NJ but thats about it and this is random so i haven't researched it yet.

I don't know where to start but thats what this poll/thread is for. If you wanted we could do this around December, or as dumb as this seems in a couple months from now. I know this takes alot to plan so that's why i want to start figuring it out now, and who knows maby we could do this once a month or every other month.

This is only an interest thread so lets see who wants to do this and set it up!!!!!!!

Id go to watch/hang out/bar, i would not race my car though. I have my coupe and my ninja and it is getting to cold to ride the bike. I would end up doing the ricer and missing 2nd or 3rd gear and crashing my car/blowing engine.

That's totally fine, i would to until i learned the turns of the track. The track is mainly an experiance, and we could always turn it into a meet. Maby we could get a couple sponsers to come and sell some stuff for good deals (Stillen) hint hint. We could always pair up with another forum as well or even better have EVERYONE from NICO meaning all the rides come in this general area.

stillen is in southern california, good luck with getting them to the east coast lol but that sounds like a good idea, i should try something like that in the future... but until i lower the car and get endlinks and better tires, i'll just stick to drag for now.... sorry to semi thread jack but Nor Cal ppl should do something like this with the tracks in the bay (by San Francisco) in the future.

Hey trust me its ok i think you should do this to. I mean i'm trying to do this, but does Stillen have any people over here ont he east coast? And there are always people around this area that could come and set up a tent (NICO) for t-shirts and stuff.

If so i can hear that track from my boys back patio. I think it is 5 mins away. Some good bars in that area.

I know, i want to set this up for april anyway. And if i do this i would need a downpayment because this kind of thing isn't cheap. And if we do have bailouts then we can get screwed. So thats why i want to see who wants to do it. If i can get a list of people 50 i will make some phone calls, to get prices.

I live about 2 hours from Pocono Raceway and they ALWAYS have trackday going on. Infact, We do a lot of track days there with the sportbike club i belong too. Not sure of the costs but if you can get the FUSA course, that's hella FUN!!! I'm sure if we get a lot of people, the costs would be quite reasonable.

The green is the FUSA. Approx about 2 mile course. Over turn 2 (tunnel turn) On my bike, I'm hitting 180 down that straight before decelerating via slipper clutch and scraping knee taking that right turn back into the in field.

They have events all the time. audi, bmw, porsche, v-dub, lotus, you name it! Pretty much all the car clubs rent the track and you get to use the garages!
