so a few sundays ago i headed down to englishtown to test my times again. it was street wars 3 and they only let the first 500 racers race, and when i got there around 1130 there were only 7 tech cards left, so i got lucky. the messed up part about it tho was that there was no helmets left to rent out, so i didnt even get to run in the time trails, but i did get to run in the brackets, which i got lucky on because i got someone to lend me their helmet. i won the first round because the guy next to me broke his time so he automatically was eliminated. that run was pretty bad for me. i dialed in at 14.5 and here are the results.
DIAL 14.50R/T .23760' 2.531330' 6.508 1/8 9.648MPH 49.411000' 12.6611/4 15.652MPH 71.64
so i know i said that i would beat my time next time that i go to the track, but i messed up this run when i was switching from 3rd gear, i mistaked and went into 2nd for a split second and clutched out, and let the car roll through the traps. i was lucky enough to move on to the next round because my opponent beat his dial-in time. so i let the car cool off a little bit, and got ready for my second run. this time since i saw that i wasnt at all close to my last dial-in time, i re-did it and dialed in at 14.6. not much of a difference but i wanted to be sure that i would move on to the next round. heres the results from my second and final run.
DIAL 14.60R/T .88660' 2.205330 6.0761/8 9.221MPH 79.041000 11.9391/4 14.511 MPH 82.47
SEE ANYTHING WRONG HERE??
well if you dont see whats wrong, i will tell you. i nailed the launch, and shifted perfect every single gear from 1-4th gear. but heres where the problem happened, before i started the run my cars gas tank was on E, and i felt that i didnt need more gas in there to keep race weight down so i didnt add any. so i started the race fine, from 1st gear all the way until i started 4th gear. when i hit 4th gear, my car started decelerating even though my foot was all the way down on the gas. reason for that was the computer saw that i was demanding the fuel, but the fuel wasnt there to give me so, it started to cut the power and didnt let me go faster. so i let off the gas and coasted through the traps once again.
it really sucked because i was listening to the radio as i was racing, and they broadcast the race on there, and the guy said that my opponent took the victory, and i was like "wtf, hold on, i crossed first". i actually thought that i didnt beat my time, but when i got my timeslip i was surprised that i hit the 14.5. i shouldve never changed my dial in time, i would have moved on to the next round.
if my car didnt cut the power, im pretty positive that i wouldve at least ran a 14.1-14.2. the temperature was right at a very chilly 40 degrees with no humidity at all. i also took my filter out to have more air flow, and it worked. i shifted the car really fast, and if you watch the video that i will upload later you can see how fast i shifted it, i didnt let the RPM's drop at all.
so what do you guys and gyals think about that.
i wont mod my car till after i get my car on the track again, which will be in april, so i will try to beat my 14.5 then. oh and this time i actually beat C&D and MT times so i have bragging rights =]

btw i compared my timeslip to another guy on NissanClub.com, who currently holds the fastest 1/4 mile time for a stock 07 altima, and i shouldve came extremely close to his time if i didnt run out of gas. just look at the 1000' time, and you can tell. i couldve also hit at least a 98-99 traps speed as well...my trap speed doesnt show anything, its bogus.
