so i went out to englishtown this past weekend for sport compact slam. it was pretty good, met some cool people, got some good runs in, and almost went deaf from all the puerto rican tuner cars that ran 7's all day!

anyways i hit a new PB time and i just wanted to share with you all. heres the details. i went up against an evo, and i did pretty well. dont mind the reaction time i was trying to get my 60ft down!

-------- me -------- evoRT --- .744 ------ .63760' -- 2.207 ----- 1.944330' - 6.104 ---- 5.6561/8 -- 9.255 ---- 8.715MPH - 79.13 ---- 79.521000 - 11.958 - 11.3821/4 -- 14.225 -- 13.607MPH - 100.00 -- 100.75

now judging by the 60' times and the MPH in the 1/8 and the 1/4, if me and this evo were on the street racing from a roll it would be a really close race, i might have even beat him...who knows?

but anyways, i had also ran my car at the track in november and judging by all the numbers from both of my runs, i was supposed to run a slightly faster time in november, that has to do with colder weather, but i ran out of gas in 4th gear. heres the run from november, you guys do the judging.

RT - .88660' - 2.205330' - 6.0761/8 - 9.221MPH - 79.041000 - 11.939 1/4 - 14.511 MPH - 82.47

i most definately wouldve hit a faster time, and the trap speed wouldve been about the same.

heres the video everyone.

honestly, that's the reason why i made a NICO account. there was a thread like almost a year ago and some people were talking about how they raced these slow *** cars and won and i was like no one raced anything faster? so i said i beat a 2000 automatic GT Mustang (they run 14.4 and i hit 14.4 stock plus he had heavy rims) and i i said i beat an evo FROM A ROLL. there were 2 guys in the Evo and they had there windows down. i was by myself and had my windows up and air conditioning off lol i barely won and everyone on here was talking so much ****, saying that we'd be lucky to beat a Civic Si with the 3.5se and everyone just started bashing the altima coupes performance

i am running on Kumho Ecsta ASX all-seasons, and all i have is a Fujita SRI, which kind of suffers when the weather is hot.

oh and not to mention it was about 90 degrees out and like 65% humidity.

changing those tires do make alot of difference though. did you have your stocks on when you went to the track on november? that could be why your time is lower now.

yea i had the stock tires in november, but these tires are supposed to help in the 60ft, which kind of isnt evident. i need a better clutch to get more grip off the line, and then i should be hitting better times.

im glad tho that i hit a 100mph trap speed, because that says alot.

that was a good run! i hit a 14.2 in 90 degree weather with my exhaust OFF.... but when it was cooler i was able to hit a 13.9. so if you go to the track again when it gets cooler you'll get a way better time, you might even be able to get into the 13's like i did

Good run, but an Evo? I don't think so man... he had you by a good .5, even at the 1/8th (and by .06 at the 1/4)... and I've seen lower times for evos (like 13.4 range)

hey dude..i wasnt talking about the times, look at the MPH in every section that has a MPH reading, it was almost exactly the same. if it was a street race from a roll it wouldve been a pretty even race.

the only reason why the evo ran such a better time was because of the 60ft time that he pulled off. remember this drag racing rule, it comes in handy. for every .1 second less in the 60ft is .2 or .3 less in the overall 1/4 mile time. so he hit a 1.9 60ft and i hit a 2.2 so that there is already .3 less in the 60' which would equal out to .6 or .9 seconds off in the 1/4 mile time. i ran a 14.2 and he ran a 13.6, thats .6 less than mine, which is exactly .6, so in theory i am correct, but then again you said you have seen other evos run faster times, and also we both hit 100mph trap speeds, so that alone tells you we are making about the same amount of HP. but ill leave you with that, all the information is there so i have no further proof for you. believe or not if you want.

http://www.caranddriver.com/re...ature14.1@101mph according to C&D.The TL is a very nice car... its not a 335i, but its close (considering the price difference -- base price is about the same, but the TL is loaded at the base, and BMW options are ridiculous $).
