Ok today while trying to fix my car me and my friend just started playing with the timing and tps. With the tps off we finally got my car to rev all the way to redline where as it stopped at about 4k before. But when we reconned the tps it acted just like before. My car has ran this bad since I put it in sometime in April. The voltage on the tps is perfect. I traced the wires to the ecu and they came up good. What in the world is wrong? This is driving everone I know crazy. We just can't get it fixed. I have replaced the maf, all coilpacks, ignitor, tps, ecu, cas, double checked wiring.

I just cleaned the aac and my car idles so much worse. I took off the whole intake manifold and cleaned it also. At first the car sounded like a lawnmower but it must have been the carb cleaner because it cleared up. Now the car idles up and down. Moving the idle screw doesn't do anything now. I didn't lose any parts and I hooked up everything. Could the aac be bad. It just sucks that this piece is over 200 dollars.

Hi there.. First post here..

I got an 180SX with SR20DET engine in it.. EXACTLY the same problem.. car wont rev past around 4500rpm.. But will rev past that with the TPS unplugged.. discovered that too when unplugging it for timing.. I changed MAF and coils. checked the ECU for faults. 55 no faults found.. ITS driving me CRAZY.. i even have trouble finding anyone else that have 6 wires out their TPS... everybody got three.. i got 6.. so don even know how to get a new one! this sucks

anybody that can help??

Come... Get back to this thread and tell me what you found... Cant be true that everytime people discover their faults on their cars they forget to return to the topic and tell us others what the problem was!!! COME ON!
