At what voltage does the TPS on a 92Q consider WOT? What happens if the voltage is greater than the spec? Is it still considered WOT or does it keep advancing timing and increasing fuel?

Just wondering as I got some more travel out of my butterfly by adjusting the cables until the b-fly maxes out on the stop. What is the proper adjustment, by the tps voltage or the stop on the throttle body?

should be .44 volts at closed and about 4 volts at WOT. closed adjustment is most important.

So anything above 4v is negligable?

I think 3.8 volts is the threshold for highest load cell.Idle voltage 0.4-0.44 is much more critical.

T45,

One thing to keep in mind while looking at these voltages... The cables need some slack, otherwise they will bind and not let the TB close completely... Trust me, I know from experience. Tinkering with the cables should only be done when the car is fully warmed up - otherwise the fast idle cam will hold the throttle body open a bit causing weird readings on the low end.

And please don't mess with any of the screws on the throttle body. Apparently there's nothing to be gained there, and a lot of stuff you can mess up.

Good luck!

Heath

I recently was checking mine and it was right at .4 volts closed and it maxed out at about 3.7-3.8 volts. FYI.

Thanks for the help. I'm not running the fast idle cam or IAC so I just wanted to know what the computer considered WOT as there is some adjustment in the cables and I'm starting from scratch after a rebuild. Thanks again!
