I've checked the FSM (not too clear) and have read through some other threads and let me see if I got this right. The reading is supposed to be taken with the key in position 1 and with the harness plugged into the TPS? I took the reading with it unplugged from the pins directly on the sensor and now my car bucks at partial throttle. Set it at .5 fully closed BTW.

My bad. I was doing it all wrong. For anyone else who is wondering here is the right way.

Leave the plug plugged in. Turn the key to the 2nd position but do not start car. Take a sewing needle and stick it in the middle wire (white) right before it goes into the back of the plug. Take a voltmeter and touch the black probe to the ground on your battery and the red probe to the needle. Losen the two 7mm bolts holdig the sensor (may have to remove the adjacent coolant line) Reading should read 0.45-0.55 volts at closed throttle and increase as you turn the throttle body pulley until it reaches over 4.0 volts at WOT. Tighten everything back up heat and serve:D

I have the SAFCII hooked up to read the TPS voltage, and i adjusted it so its within 0-1v on Closed throttle, but once i even touch the peddle it automatically goes to like 4-5v and the SAFC is reading WOT when the peddle is just bearly pressed... bad TPS? or Plug? or Just have to clean something?

It was working fine for a while untill recently when i was getting funny readings on voltage

Make sure you're getting the right wires on the afc's tps tap. If it is the correct wire, go out in front and see if it's the 3 wire tps or the 6 wire.

well the SAFC worked fine with the TPS for a few months... I had to rewire one of the 2 plugs b/c it was a 6 wire but it worked fine after i rewired it
