So I have a 5speed 1990 240sx and I did a sohc to dohc swap to the 96 s14 engine. I swapped everything to obd1. So I have everything hooked up and the engine starts but when it starts it revs up for about 10 sec staying in the rang of 3500-4500 rpms then just dies. So I start it again and it goes straight to around 4000rpms for 10 sec then dies, Over and over. I did cut all my emissions to the engine and I replaced my throttle body to a manual throttle body because the intake manifold I bought was off an automatic. Any Ideas why my engine is doing this???
Also I ran the self diagnostic on the Ecu and it has 2 codes. Code 11: Camshaft position sensor ????Code 13: Coolant Temperature sensor circuit
That is what My Ecu is telling me is wrong...
I got new gaskets. But when I put the auto throttle body on (doesnt have a build in tps switch) It idols perfect but wont rev up (because the tps switch isnt built in and needs and extra plug for the tps switch witch is only for auto 240sx's) Witch makes sence why it would idol fine but not rev up becuase the tps switch isnt hooked up..
But then I put the manual throttle body on, witch has the Tps Switch built in it wont idol, it just stays reved up then dies. You can def. tell the ecu is killing the engine. it slowly keeps gaining rpm's then once it hits about 4500rpms you can tell the ecu just kills all power to the engine.... Any help would be huge. Thanks again
