TPS?

im thinking i have a bad tps. i was driving it for a while with no screws holding the tps in place and it was working fine. one day my upper radiator hose blew and my car jolted for a second but kept running just fine. i looked under the hood and the red wire on the tps was disconnected yet the car was still running fine. after i re-connected the red wire the car now will not idle or rev very well at all. when the car is first started it will idle fine and accelerate much better while the ecu is controlling everything but after a few seconds it will just die and not want to accelerate. tps?
