hey guys how is everyone doing? I know its been a while since Ive last posted but now that spring is almost here Ive taken the covers off the vert and fired it up only to realize that during idle the rpms get bouncy, driving it is fine and doesnt affect power. Someone told me to try regrounding the TPS but i just ended up getting a new one from a friend. My question is how are you supposed to properly calibrate it on after installing or is it strictly bolt on, plug the harness in and thats it???

the last part bolt on plug up and blah blah blah.

Does this happen when its cold only? For example, if you first crank it up after its been sitting awhile, motor not at operating temp, it does it. What about after it warms up to operating normal temp?

If it still does this then, then its not a cold start issue.

The diagnosis by "someone" IMo doesnt know about cars that much to just tell you that. A TPS is a potentiometer, meaning the tps gets a 5 volt reference signal sent to it from the ECM, then depending on where the throttle is, will determine the amount of resistance in the potentiometer, to determine voltage being sent back to the ECM to determine where your foot is at. Which is where a TPS gets grounded btw. ECM/ECU

TPS sensors are mechanical and prone to wear, generally where your foot is most frequently. you could describe it as a buck or trailer-hitch sensation while driving. Nothing which you cited.

Give me a better very thorough explanation of when it hapens when it doesnt, hot cold first starting up, then after it warms its fine blah blah blah. Then I might be able to help you..........

How odd, Last two weeks I have been getting a bucking feeling when easing back on the throttle and some times a hesitation when stepping on it. The first thing that came to mind was the TPS. I has going to sit down and read through the threads to see if any one else had TPS issues or experienced random hesitation and a bucking effect.

So thanks for the clue and saving time reading 999x threads

my car could be at operating temp and it would still do it but if i start it up when cold it idles smoothly at around 1100 until its warm and then starts to jump. If my car is warm and start it up again it still does it.
