Yo q45 lords, any tips on the proper way to R+I the throttle body and clean ( 1997 q45) ?

I'm having a problem with my 99 Q45t. After my engine service light came on i took the car in and the results of the diagnostic was a bad throttle position sensor. However, the mechanic reset the computer and the engine servicen light remained off. The car is running fine but, I'm thinking of cleaning out the throttle body and throwing 44k in the fuel tank as a precaution. Please advise!
