Im having problems with this for a while now. Nobody that i have asked seems to know how to do this or want to..The tps i have is most likely from an automatic, but the engine came 5spd.anyone know how to match up the wires to make it work, I have the plug that fits. here is a pic of what im talking about. I have read in another post that i can match the wires (black>black, white>white, red&green>red&green.) anyone know if this is the actual way to wire it?thanks

Could anyone help me... Im having problems with my TPS i think.. Car wont rev past 4500-5000rpm.. when i unplug the TPS it revs fine.. Doesnt drive that good, but thats probably because the TPS isnt connected at all.. Everybody i talk to cant recognize the TPS im showing them.. They all say.. " should there not only be 3 wires." mine got 6 wires.. My car is a 180SX with jdm redtop. Used to be an Auto, but is now manual.. Is that why i have 6 wires and not only 3?? ill post 2 pics below.. one of the TPS and one of the connector.!

TPS

TPS 6 PIN PLUG

How do i wire this to a 3 wire TPS.. i can only get the 3 wire TPS here in Denmark in Europe??

ThanksJacob

I haven't had to deal with this problem myself but I would like to know how to solve it. I got some ideas but it would require you to have a mulitmeter and you have to know how to use it...

Here is what is going on you have a automatic tps . Go to this linkhttp://www.jimwolftechnology.com/tech_details.asp and scroll down to DET S13 SILVIA WIRING DIAGRAM that schamatic shold show you the pin out for the tps. It is someting like pins 37 and 20 on the ecu.
