hello - i just purchased a 1990 300zx with a 1994 motor - i cannot figure out where this 3rd wire should connect to & i'm not even sure if it is a 94 tps or a 90 (don't know which one guy i bought it off used with engine replacement, as he didn't know much about the car himself - was his sons who moved & left the car). i would like to buy a new tps & connecting harness but still can't figure out how it would connect as this is obviously poorly rigged (it is currently non-functional). Any help would be appreciated - & not knowing if i should buy a 90 or 94 tps/connecting harness ???Image

Third wire is for cars with auto transmission

90 _ 95 use the same TPS, you can get the repair parts or a new one at Z1 Motorsports or concept z performance

hey thanks much guys ... well, me being a total newb to nissan in general (have owned acura rl/tl's in the past & ls1 trans am currently) i had not realized the tps could be adjusted (assumed it was a "set" setting) ... low & behold mine was 100% perfect, actually adjusted to the proper ohms right at .45 - my combition HEADER/MANIFOLD leak + a vacuum leak is what is causing it to idle below 500 and occasionally die at stops.
