Is the standard TPS on a CA purely an on/off swith or should it be variable? There are 2 lots of connectors on mine. one connects directly into the side of the housing and the other has a short loom about 4 inches long. I was led to believe the connector on the short loom should be Variable but im only getting continuity when throttle closed and none at any other point. Im trying to connect it up to my Haltech ECU which reads a variable signal only.

per the FSM, the built in connector should be the idle / full throttle switch and the loomed out part is is the variable throttle sensor

see EF&EC page 10, it has a graph showing the voltage to degrees ratio.

Ok, here is how Nissan uses their TPS's. There are two switches and a potentiometer located inside of the TPS. One switch is an idle swich, the other a full throttle switch. The CA only uses the Idle switch and the potentiometer. I know that the KA24DE uses both switches and the potentiometer. The plug for the switches is the one that is directly on the sensor and the potentiometer is the short loom.
