You may have an issue with the AICV (Air Idle Control Valve). You will most likely have an issue passing emissions, I'd definitely get this checked. Try adjusting the adjustment screw on the air idle control valve to see if your idle speed changes. Also, run through the factory service manual and perform some of their diagnostic checks to see what the root of the issue is. If you don't have a copy, you can find it here! http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/nissan ... nuals.html  Good Luck!

Tps shouldn't affect it that much 1050+ over stock idle is huge. Check your distributor for correct timing and adjust your tps also you might have a leak in your intake manifold somewhere make sure you have all your bolts in that seperate the upper and lower. Did you buy the car like this or did one day it juat happened?

Unplug the IACV, maybe try tapping it lightly. The motor is getting air somewhere to run that fast. PCV hose off, cracked?

Did you replace the aicv with a brand new unit? If it was too big of a vacuum leak thw car wouldnt idle without you helping it. You have a sensor problem. Test them all there aren't very many of them. Your high idle could also be from an intake valve not closing all the way. Also make sure you dont have a clog in you aicv pipe from the intake. Take the tube off and feel if its pulling air it should be a pretty strong vacuum. If the tube is clogged or kinked then it causes the sensors to over compensate .

Is the throttle cable mis-adjusted?
Clogs/restrictions in the PCV system would reduce the available amount of air and lower the idle speed, not raise it.
