tps problem

i have an sr20det motor and my tps is read 5volts at close position and .05 volts wide open, car runs ok, seems like it wants to stall at times and when warm very slow throttle responce and runs rich.

Are you sure you are reading it correctly?

Warm up the car.Turn off the engine but leave the key in the position where radio/ fuel pump are still onLeave the tps plugged in.Insert a needle or something sharp into the middle wire of the TPS. Place the black probe of the multimeter on the neg. battery terminal and the red probe on the needle.Should read .45-4.xx volts
