you can use an Auto TPS also. Minus the extra wires.

If you have an auto TPS, might as well use the auto harness. I had the auto tps and harness. Got a manual TPS and just spliced the red and green wire together, then use the white and black wire. There are your 3 wires needed for an auto to manual TPS conversion.l

SPEEDRACER1: i may as well make this a learning experience... so you used a manual tps with an auto wiring harness... hooked blk to black white to white, and the spliced the wiring harness red wire and green wire together and connected them to the last wire..... correct? i'm doing a swap now that i'm trying to figure out how to use the auto tps with the manual harness.... i've guess wht/wht blk/blk and should i use the red and green from the tps to the last wire on the harness too? wow, that felt like i was on crack...

On manuals there is a Green wire with Red strip. This corresponds to the splicing of red and green. The others (blue and yellow IIRC) are not used, just tucked away.

The plug that directly bolts to the manual TPS (should be a brown one) can also be found on the MAFS of some Nissans. The one that comes to mind is 1997-1998 S14 SR20DET MAFS and S15 MAFS since they are in fact the same MAFS.

on your harness or tps.... regardless it's for an automatic or hicas model (but you should make note of the good info that speedracer1 gave us above incase they don't match up) .... my sr20 was manual, but with hicas..... so my tps and my powersteering pump were different.... luckily i found some guy who needed the hicas ps pump, so we switched..... kismetsilvia180sx1515: you have mail

Cyber you have an auto harness, probably an auto tps too unless you changed it.

My setup is: Manual engine, manual TPS, auto engine harness, auto ECU.

But lets face it, the TPS on the S13 SR's doesnt do much, I drove without the TPS for a year. The other SR's (S14,S15) is where it, makes a bigger difference.

Nothing. Drives the same, the ECU senses the TPS is not connected and instead just relies on the other sensors (ie MAFS).
