Hey guys so my cars been running like crap and i herd if you remove the front tps harness while idling it should run worse, well i removed it and nothing changed. It is very corroded and its falling apart so i ordered a new one. But the problem is there are only two wires going into the harness not three… is it supposed to only have only 2? when connected its the bottom wire thats missing. Thanks

So, there's 2 connectors into the TPS, one is a simple state for the switch, used for fail-safe operation and some other side tasks, it reads: closed, open or WOT. The second is an analog voltage reading of the switch position, which scales to how far the throttle has been opened.

The TPS supports the 3 states, but Nissan only ever decided to read open and closed, not WOT. On my 1991 original harness, the connector only had 2 wires coming into it for those 2 states. However, that connector got messed up, and I got a used one from a friend, it was possibly a 1990 (don't remember). Anyways, that connector had all 3 wires running into it. I just double checked which one was for WOT and didn't wire it up.

To add another question to the post. Does anyone know if there is any difference between the non turbo version of the tps being sold. The is one for the years 90-93 and another from 94-95.

TT and NA have the same TPS. Interchangeable. I also believe the 94-95 is the same, but do not quote me on that.

I was just wondering since CZP sells two different ones and the price difference is quite alot.

It's all about the years right there. Easy. Just to make sure, give ConceptZ a call, but if the NA and TT are interchangeable, it should have changed between 93 and 94 for both.
