Finally brought my 2000 Q45 to a mechanic to get looked at. The "check engine" light is on and the TCS/SLIP come on intermitent causing harsh shifts. First the mechanic cleared the memory. I dorve the car until the check engine light came on. First code was for the Throttle Position Sensor. Then had a knock sensor code. We changed out the whole throttle body including sensors. Ran it again and got the same codes and symptoms.Anyone have a clue what the problem is???

Will I think I can tell you the "mechanic" doesn't.

The KS are not part of either throttle body.

Best take it to a dealer for a reliable diagnosis if you cannot find a competent Infiniti technician.

If you are in SC,

Common for knock sensor to crack plastic housing when exposed to heat/overheats they will need replacing along with their harness.

Probably multiple problems.

Incompetent mechanics and poorly trained non certified technican cause many expensive problems and replace good components on their way to a solution.

Use a technican who works on your model every week and knows the various common problems.
